Faatele is the characteristic song and dance form of Tuvalu. This style of dance is popular at community gatherings on each Tuvalu island, and in every Nanumean community around the world. Whenever there is a celebration, a community meal, a welcome or going away party, faatele is a part of the occasion.
We are working to put several Faatele videos on this site -- the music brings faatele alive, and the enthusiasm and energy of the young people during the all-night Po o Tefolaha dancing in the Ahiga is wonderful! Coming here before too long.
