Genealogy Sheets

Compiled in 1973-1974, with minor additions in 1984

Conventions Used in these Sheets:

Key to Genealogy drawings

As you use the Genealogy Sheets you will see beside some names notes such as: "from 11/-3" or "to 20/+2". These notations refer to other sheets in the genealogy set, and to specific line numbers which are shown at the edge of each sheet. Minus 1 (-1) is the line we used for most elders who were active in 1973. For example, Venu and Petaia, two sons of Kelese, appear on Sheet 20, line -1 (which we write as 20/-1), and also Sheet 7, line -1 (7/-1). Their children are on the next line down, line +1, and Kelese and his generation are on line -2.

Some people were known by two (or even three) names. We show this by a double slash between the names. Thus, on Sheet 1, line -3, Maalesa//Teuila is the same person, he used two names at different times in his life. On the same sheet, Maalesa's wife also had two names, Pani//Angoango.

On some sheets some names are underlined -- this means either that the person's parents should be shown at the side or bottom of the sheet, or that there is a note about this person somewhere on the sheet.

Click a sheet number in RED below to open the genealogy image. Most of these PDF files are a bit over 1 MB in size -- they may take a minute or two to open, depending on the speed of your connection. Once a sheet is open, use the magnifier icon on the PDF page to enlarge any section of the sheet to make it easier to read. You can save or print the sheet if you wish. [Thanks to Kevin Meek of Medford Builders Exchange, for care taken in scanning our large and fragile genealogy sheets]
